Lady Raiders top Greyhounds

The Portland High School girls basketball team traveled to Eaton Rapids on Friday night for a CAAC White contest. The Lady Raiders picked up a convincing 42-21 victory.

Eaton Rapids was led by senior guard Sofia Kingsley with nine points.

Sophomore guard Paige Spedoske led the Raiders offensively with 14 points. Junior guard Malia Thelen added 10 points.

Portland 12 – 8 – 8 – 14 – 42

Eaton Rapids 2 – 9 – 4 – 6 – 21

With the win, Portland improves to 8-6 overall, 4-1 in the CAAC White.

Next week they have a pair of home games. On Tuesday they host Fowlerville (3-12 overall) for a non-league contest. On Friday they host Charlotte (4-10 overall, 0-4 CAAC White) for a CAAC White contest.
