Lady Raiders top Fowler in battle of defending State Champs

Reigning Division 2 State Champion Portland traveled to reigning Division 4 State Champion Fowler on Tuesday night. The Raiders picked up an exciting 47-34 win over the very talented Eagle squad.

Portland was led by senior Ashley Bower with 29 points. Senior Ava Guilford added nine points.

Fowler was led by junior Emma Riley with 13 points.

Portland 7 – 14 – 11 – 15 – 47

Fowler 13 – 5 – 9 – 7 – 34

Portland’s record improves to 16-1 on the year. They will host Lansing Catholic (16-0, 7-0 in CAAC White) on Friday to fight for a share of the league championship. The Cougars of Lansing Catholic are the only team to have beaten the Lady Raiders so far this season when Lansing Catholic won 55-52 at Lansing Catholic on January 14th.
