Lady Raiders top Forest Hills Central

On Saturday, the Portland High School girls basketball team traveled to Cornerstone University to face Forest Hills Central as part of the West Michigan Shootout.

Portland defeated the Rangers 63-29.

Portland 16 – 17 – 13 – 17 – 63

FH Central 5 – 12 – 7 – 5 – 29

Portland was led offensively by senior Ashley Bower with 22 points, and senior Breckyn Werner with 12 points.

FH Central was led by Theryn Hallock with 15 points.

Portland remains undefeated. They are 6-0 overall, and 2-0 in the CAAC White. Their contest scheduled for Tuesday with Haslett has been postponed due to COVID concerns on the Haslett side.

The Lady Raiders travel to Lansing Catholic on Friday for a showdown of the top two teams in the CAAC White. The Cougars are currently 9-0 overall, 3-0 in conference.
