Lady Raiders top East Lansing
On Monday night, the Portland High School girls basketball team hosted the Trojans of East Lansing. Despite a low scoring quarter by both teams in the first, the Lady Raiders picked up a 35-28 victory.
East Lansing was led by freshman center Kaylee King with 11 points.
Junior guard Malia Thelen led Portland with 19 points. Freshman guard Lilly Thelen added seven points for the Raiders.

Portland 5 – 6 – 13 – 11 – 35
East Lansing 4 – 8 – 3 – 13 – 28
With the win, Portland improves to 5-2 overall. They are 2-0 in the CAAC White.
The Raiders next action is on January 3rd when they host St. Johns. The Redwings are 4-2.
