Lady Raiders top Detroit Renaissance

On Saturday, the Portland High School girls basketball traveled to Detroit Renaissance High School.

Taking advantage of a first quarter 22-6 lead, the Lady Raiders were able to secure a 54-39 win over a talented Phoenix squad.

Portland was led by senior Ashley Bower with 25 points. Seniors Ava Guilford and Alivia Densmore each added nine points.

Scoring summary:

1st – 2nd – 3rd – 4th – Final

Portland 22 – 10 – 13 – 9 – 54

Renaissance 6 – 10 – 14 – 9 – 39

With the win Portland improves to 15-1 overall, and are 5-1 in the CAAC White.

This week the Raiders travel to Fowler (13-2) on Tuesday before hosting Lansing Catholic (16-0) on Friday.
