Lady Raiders roll over Charlotte

On Friday night the PHS girls basketball team hosted Charlotte in their first CAAC White contest of the season. Portland dominated the Orioles from start to finish to pick up a 66-27 win.
Portland was led by senior Ashley Bower who scored 20 points including four three-pointers. Senior Ava Guilford added 14 points including two three-pointers. Seniors Alivia Densmore and Breckyn Werner each added eight points.
Charlotte was led by Freshman Anna Shepard with 12 points.

1st – 2nd – 3rd – 4th – Final
Portland 24 – 18 – 19 – 5 – 66
Charlotte 4 – 11 – 5 – 7 – 27
With the win Portland moves to 3-0 overall, 1-0 in the CAAC White.
Portland’s scheduled contest with Chelsea for this coming Tuesday has been posted postponed due to COVID issues with Chelsea. That game is set to be rescheduled for a date to be determined. The Lady Raiders are set to travel to Ionia on Friday.
