Lady Raiders improve to 2-1 with win over Okemos

The Portland High School girls basketball team hosted Okemos on Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders defeated Okemos 71-28 to improve to two and one on the season.

Okemos was led offensively by junior guard Miya Kiyak who scored nine points.

The Portland offense was led by junior guard Malia Thelen with 17 points. Freshman guard Summer Stopcynski scored 14 points. Junior guard Jayden Townsend and freshman guard Lilly Thelen each scored 10 points for Portland.

The Raiders will host Eaton Rapids on Friday night for their first CAAC White contest of the season. The Greyhounds are off to an 0-3 start to their season.
