Free State of Michigan map available from MDOT

While many of us have grown reliant on navigation programs in our cars and on our phones, keeping a good old paper map in your car is still good idea.  You never know when you may end up with a dead phone or some sort of outage may knock out your car’s navigation system.

Did you know the Michigan Department of Transportation allows you to request a free state map from them?  Click HERE to request your free map from MDOT. 

The site does state, “Because Official Department of Transportation state maps are printed with state funds, there is a limit on the number of maps that can be distributed to any individual or organization.”  While there is no number listed for this limit, I requested five so every vehicle in our house can have one, and received five in the mail in about a week.
