Featured Business: The Justin Wray Agency
The Justin Wray Agency with Farmer’s Insurance has been in business in Portland since August 2023.
Farmer’s Insurance itself has been present in Michigan since the year 1949. Its local headquarters is in Grand Rapids and it specializes in home, auto, business, and life insurance. Justin Wray heads the Portland office. Justin grew up in Lansing. He was graduated from Waverly High School and from Western Michigan University. He has been involved in the insurance business since January 2023.
“Insurance is important because when something unfortunate happens to people, insurance can save the day for them financially,” said Justin. “I find great satisfaction in hearing the relief in people’s voices when they learn that their loss is covered by their insurance. It makes my day to hear this and it is why I work in this industry.” Justin interviews customers carefully to assess their insurance needs. He wants to make sure that they have the coverage necessary to meet their needs.
“My favorite part of my job is meeting with people,” said Justin. “This contact is what makes my job enjoyable. My responsibility is not only to make people aware of their coverage needs but also to help them understand how insurance works. This information puts them at ease. I’m convinced that having insurance helps people to sleep at night. Farmer’s Insurance makes the important point of keeping rates as low as possible without compromising actual coverage. We want to make insurance affordable so that people may purchase it reasonably and have it when they need it.”
Justin said that his sales team is trained to have the same in-depth conversations with clients as he himself has and that his staff truly cares about each and every one of their customers. Justin employs six people who have all mastered extensive training through Farmer’s district office as well as through corporate resources made available to them.
Justin is married to Ayla and they have three children ranging in age from four months to five years. Justin’s wife is from Portland and here is where they reside. “I think very highly of Portland,” said Justin. “Everyone here takes great pride in our community. Portland has much to offer people and I feel blessed to be here.”
Justin wants people to know that each of his customers is considered special and is valued and appreciated. His team looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.
