THK JOB OPPORTUNITY - Machine Repair

THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT HIGHLIGHTS THE DETAILS NECESSARY TO DESCRIBE THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB CLASSIFICATION AND IS NOT INTENDED AS A LIST OF ALL THE DUTIES THAT ARE INHERENT TO THE POSITION.

Position Summary:

This position does include repair and preventive maintenance of conventional manufacturing equipment and CNC machines. Knowledge of hydraulics, turret alignment, pneumatics is a must. Knowledge of CNC machines and controls, forging presses, as well as heat treat furnaces is preferred. The position will also require some welding and sheet metal fabrication experience. Candidate must be capable of setting up and operating mills, lathes and other repair equipment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential functions)

• Promote teamwork and convey a genuine interest in supporting the lean production philosophy

• Maintain acceptable levels of performance as measured against department benchmarks

• Repair and preventive maintenance of conventional manufacturing equipment and CNC machines

• Possess knowledge of hydraulics, turret alignment and pneumatics are a must

• Knowledge of CNC machines and controls, forging presses as well as heat treat furnaces preferred

• Will require some welding and sheet metal fabrication experience

Additional Responsibilities:

• Be a team player – able to work with maintenance team, production team and other employees, vendors and management

• Strong ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment

• Be able to work weekends and overtime as required

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate, plan, organize and problem solve is essential

• Exert considerable muscular effort in dismantling machines, lifting heavy parts while utilizing proper equipment and using hand tools

• Be a team player

• Adhere to all established health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

• Preferred Journeyman or certificate in the Machine Repair trade and/or relative experience
