Seven Residents File to Run for the Portland Public School Board

Seven Portland residents filed with the Ionia County Clerk’s Office by yesterday’s deadline to run for a seat on the Portland Public School Board. The election will be held on November 3rd. Three seats are up for election this year.

Jonathan Bair, Anthony E. Edwards, Beth Goodman, Andrew M. Huhn, Nancyann P. Lufkin, Joe Polasek and Angela M. Shinaver will all appear on the Non-Partisan section of the General Election Ballot and compete for one of three open seats. The top three vote getters will each win a six-year term. Terms begin on January 1,2021.
