Reminder to Portland Township residents: The recycling bins will be available on June 27-28 at Municipal Supply, Industrial Drive, Portland. The bins will be open from 8 am-5 pm on Saturday and from 8 am until they are full on Sunday. If bins are full, please do not leave anything on the ground.

Because of continued COVID 19 precautions, volunteers will be onsite to observe, but will not be able to assist recyclers. Anyone who is ill or has been ill should not attend---please save your recycling until next month.

Portland Township and the Friends of the Red Mill are participating in a bottle cap project for Freedom Acres in Ionia. Bottle caps that are numbered 2, 4, and 5 can be deposited in buckets at the recycling site. They will eventually be turned into benches for the school.

Also, a reminder that barrels will be available at the recycling site to collect returnable bottles and cans. These will be donated to the Friends of the Red Mill.
