American Legion Post 129 in Portland was in need of a sturdy and safe hand rail for the entrance to their Post.

Post Commander David W Fedewa said, “I looked at many types but could not find one to suit our needs. I reached out to Eagle Enterprises regarding this and Steve Smith took time out of his busy schedule and came to our location. He came up with a proposal, he would fabricate a sound handrail and also would install it at no cost to the Post.”

Fedewa said that Smith told him, "I would be happy to donate this as you people do a lot for the community".

The new rail was fabricated and installed in March. The Post members wish to express their gratitude to Steve and Keith Schneider for their efforts.

Fedewa said, “We have installed a plaque at the Post next to the rail and also have sent Eagle Enterprises a Letter of Appreciation. Our community remains strong due to companies and organizations working together for the greater good.”
