Obituary for Dennis A. Pohl

Dennis A. Pohl, age 68, of Portland, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020. He was born on December 27, 1951, the son of Joseph and Mary (Fedewa) Pohl. Dennis enjoyed playing with the grandkids, family barbecues, fishing, playing cards, joking around with his family and friends, buying his weekly lotto ticket, and watching Seinfeld. His greatest love was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Marvin Feldpausch; nephew, Christopher Spitzley; and niece, Jennifer Simon. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Pohl, they were married for 43 years (will celebrate 44 on May 1st); children, Nicholas Pohl and Cindy Teague, Keith (Andrea) Pohl, Jason (Kristin) Pohl, Sonya (Jeremy) Boland; grandchildren: Scarlett and Bodhi Pohl (Keith and Andrea Pohl’s children) and Aiden Boland (Sonya and Jeremy’s son), future baby granddaughter (Jason and Kristin’s daughter); mother-in-law, Regina Feldpausch; siblings: Stan (Jean) Pohl, Larry (Ann) Pohl, Eugene (Jan) Pohl, Ann Fedewa, Mike (Anita) Pohl, Laureen (Glenn) Simon, Jan (Den) Spitzley, Julie (Terry) Thelen, Steve (Julie) Pohl, and Robert (Jackie) Pohl; in-laws: Marilyn (Rick) Fisher, Duane Feldpausch and Cheyne Branham, Ralph (Diane) Feldpausch, Denise (Steve) Simon, Janet (Tony) Schafer, Lloyd (Rhonda) Feldpausch, Roy (Patty) Feldpausch, Giles (Karen) Feldpausch, Lavern (Nancy) Feldpausch, Teresa (Jack) Pline, Donna (Scott) Piggott; and many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
