Obituary for Blanche Kincaid
Blanche Kincaid, age 95, of Portland, passed away January 30, 2019. She was born in Brighton, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Kroutil) Novak. Blanche was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking; she was always sure everyone was fed well. Blanche also took joy in sewing, quilting, and gardening flowers. She loved going camping and taking the family RV “out West”, her favorite place being Arizona.
Preceding Blanche in death are her parents; beloved husband of 61 years, Byron Kincaid; and siblings, James Novak, Charles Novak, and Marie Mulligan. Blanche is survived by her loving children, Byron (Mary Kay) Kincaid, Jr., Michael Kincaid, Tom (Jan) Kincaid, Patricia (Mark) Beech, Debra (Gary) Sochor, Susan Clemens, and Steven Kincaid; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Hart; and sister-in-law, Marie Francka.
The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Darrel Kempf at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the chapel.
