Caelyn Smith Named PHS Raider of the Week

Portland High School is pleased to announce this week’s recipient of the “Raider of the Week” award:

Name: Caelyn Smith

Grade: 12

Parents: Ryan and Raychel Smith

Activities: Caelyn is the senior editor-in-chief for our Yearbook and has been involved with this publication for three years. She is also a student in the Culinary Arts program at Heartlands. Outside of PHS, she has been involved with the Center Stage Dance Academy as a student and an instructor for seven years and she works part-time at Mercantile Bank in Ionia.

Post-High School Plans: After graduation, Caelyn plans to attend Grand Rapids Community College to study culinary arts and to become a pastry chef.

Award: In recognition of being selected as “Raider of the Week” at Portland High School, Caelyn is awarded one 9”/1-item pizza from The Pizza Shop courtesy of Dawn and Tom Hodge and will receive a plaque from S&K Trophies courtesy of Lynn and Dan Babbitt.
