Shamrock Girls Open Season with 49-37 Win Over Lansing Christian

The Shamrock girls basketball team traveled to Lansing Christian on Wednesday night for the opening game of their 2019-2020 season. Thanks to a dominant offensive performance by senior center Samee Teachworth, the Shamrocks picked up a convincing 49-37 road victory.
Teachworth led the Shamrocks offensively with 22 points. Sophomore Katelyn Russell contributed eight points for the Shamrocks. Other Shamrocks who scored include junior Karley Beachnau (6), sophomore Mara Schrauben (5), while junior Maddie Leblanc and sophomore Lydia Meredith each scored four points.
The St. Patrick’s squad will host Webberville on Friday in their home opener at Portland Middle School.
