Obituary for Jill Ann Platte

Jill Ann Platte, age 47, of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, surrounded by family. Jill was born on April 12, 1972, the daughter of Julius and Patricia (Manning) Platte. Jill lived a blessed and full life navigating life’s challenges having cerebral palsy, with a positive attitude and a loving spirit. Jill loved all her nieces and nephews and eagerly awaited Christmas every year so she could be “Ms. Claus” and spoil each one with a gift. Next to her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, her favorite thing in the world was shopping and she would go any chance she got.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert. Surviving are her father, Julius and mother, Patricia; siblings, Judy (Jay), Tim (Amy), Ben (Mandy), Ted (Betsy); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Alber at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery.
