Portland Boys Varsity Soccer opened the season Thursday at home against Laingsburg.

The Raiders played a well fought game keeping the game scoreless at the half. With the Wolfpack pressing hard in the second half the Raiders were still able to keep the game scoreless and ended in a 0-0 draw. The boys were however able to create a few scoring opportunities during the game.

Freshmen Payne Clinkscales earned his first shutout of the season while in goal. The Raiders will travel to Ithaca tomorrow for the Battle at the Hive soccer tournament where they will open with their first game against Ithaca at 10:00 AM.
