Parks & Rec Final Summer Softball Update

Last Tuesday the men's recreational softball league battled it out in their post season tournament at Powers Park. Portland Poured Walls, began their excellent night with a 14-4 victory over Portland Eye Care to secure a place in the semi finals. They then took down the league champions, Wagon Wheel's Ray Fox All Stars and claimed a place in the tournament finals where they were met by streaking hot Fabiano's River House Grill. Fabiano's claimed back to back victories in route to their finals appearance including their 6-3 win over the 2nd seeded Ward's Garage team.

Portland Poured Walls and Fabiano's River House Grill put on a show in the finals as they battled back and forth, exchanging the lead several times. Fabiano's entered the bottom of the 7th trailing by one run and would not be denied. They scored their lead off batter and then claimed a walk off victory with a long shot to deep center, allowing the game winning run to score.
