You are Invited to Portland St. Pat's Summer Fest!
Portland St. Patrick parish is gearing up for their annual Summer Fest, June 21-23, and everyone is invited! The weekend will be packed with games, music, food, and fun for everyone.
Friday night is for the 21+ crowd. The Entertainment Tent opens at 6:00 pm; Legal Immigrants take the stage at 7:30, followed by Freebird: Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd at 9:00.
Saturday is a day for sports, with 3-on-3 basketball for ages 8-15, volleyball for 16+, and youth baseball for ages 9-13.
The midway will be open from 10 am - 7:30 pm, and will feature inflatables and kids games. All-day bracelets will be available. A late addition to the lineup is a 100' Ninja Warrior Course, brought to us by Ninjas on the Move. This activity will be free this year.
Saturday afternoon will feature two free concerts which the entire family will enjoy. SNOT an Emmy-nominated a-capella group from Ann arbor will be on stage at 2:00 pm, followed by DJ Dill Pickle, a ten-year old disc jockey who performs all over the mid west.
Saturday night the tent will switch over to 21+ as El Kabong takes the stage at 6:15, followed by Lookin'Back, a Tribute to Bob Seger at 9:00.
Sunday will see the continuation of the midway, the finals of the baseball tournament, and the famous Chicken Dinner. This year, the meal will feature chicken, roast beef, potatoes, rolls, salad, vegetable, beverage, and homemade dessert.
At noon, local favorites We Three Strings will be on stage, followed by the Hubbardston Irish Dancers at 1:30. The Summer Fest raffle, which will give away over $6000 in cash and prizes will take place at 3:00.
Food trucks will be on the grounds the entire weekend, serving up BBQ, hot dogs, french fries, elephant ears, funnel cakes, crushed ice drinks, and much, much more.
