Chamber of Commerce Announces 4th of July Fireworks and Parade Details, Sponsorships Welcomed

This year the fireworks will occur on Wednesday July 3rd, and will be held at the Bogue Flats Recreation Area instead of its normal location at Portland High School. The move is largely due to substantial construction occurring at PHS this summer. The fireworks will begin at dusk (approximately 10:00 pm). Personal fireworks are prohibited for everyone’s safety.

Staging and line up for the parade will begin at 9:00 am. This year, line up will occur on Riverside Dr. or otherwise if directed. Entries enter at the North end of Riverside Dr. and will exit on the South End. The parade itself begins at 10:00 am. This year’s parade route begins at Kent St near Riverside Dr. to Grand River Ave., Grand River Ave to Water St., and Water St. to the Red Mill.

The chamber is also seeking sponsorships to help with the cost of the fireworks. Sponsorships made by June 15th will be acknowledged in event promotional materials as listed for each tier.

Sponsorship Levels:

Signature Sponsor – $2500-listed on all event advertising with logo as an event co-sponsor with the PACC

Platinum Sponsor - $1000-listed on all event advertising with logo as an event sponsor

Gold Sponsor - $500-listed on all event advertising in name as an event sponsor

Silver Sponsor - $20-$250-highlighted on social media posts and highlights as an event sponsor
