PHS Track’s Lesley Barker Wins Third Regional Long Jump Crown in Three Years

On Friday, PHS senior Lesley Barker won her third consecutive regional champion title in long jump. Barker’s jump of 16’ 7” in the championship earned her the crown. Second place went to Alex Haaga of Battle Creek Pennfield with a jump of 16’ 2.5”.

Barker’s best jump of the year was 17’ 3”.

Other notable Raider results from the regional contest held at Mason High School were:

- Girls 100 Meter Dash 5th place Lesley Barker

- Boys 4x200 Meter Relay 4th place Chris Teachout, Michael Almy, Alex Michell and Jake Veale

- Girls 4x100 Meter Relay 6th place Grace Clark, Jolee Pung, Catherine Svanda and Lesley Barker

- Boys 4x100 Meter Relay 6th place Chris Teachout, Florian Klindt, Alex Michell and Jake Veale

- Boys 800 Meter Run 4th place Blaine Rosier

The MHSAA Division 2 state finals meet is scheduled for June 1st at Zeeland Stadium.
