Portland Civic Players Scholarship Winners Announced

Earlier this year The Portland Civic Players announced a brand-new scholarship opportunity for high school seniors that have participated in our Summer Theater Youth Program.

The “Eddy-Bandfield Memorial Scholarship” was created to honor 4 very influential members of our organization. Tom and Marilyn Bandfield and Bill and Anne Eddy.

PCP was honored to be able to present this first scholarship to three of our Summer Theater seniors - Grace Timmer, Joe Timmer and Karley Goodman. These recipients have been involved in our summer theater program for many years and have also graced our stage in our community theater productions. They have always been willing to do anything needed or asked of them. The younger participants of our program have always looked up to them and I know they will be missed as they go on to other adventures.

We have had the privilege of watching these incredible young people grow up and are looking forward to seeing where the journey will take them next. We can only hope that our organization will stay in their hearts and they will continue to carry on the legacy of the theater left by those who this scholarship is named for. Congratulations!!!
