Raider Golf Takes Third at Charlotte

The second of six divisional jamborees was played at the Maple Brook Golf Course in Charlotte Tuesday afternoon. Lansing Catholic shot a team score of 173 to take twenty-five stroke victory. Ionia took second place with a score of 198. It took a fifth score tiebreaker to decide Tuesday’s third place team. With identical team scores of 203, Portland edged out Charlotte with each team having to use their best fifth score to break the tie. Eaton Rapids shot a 241 for fifth place. Lansing Sexton did not take part in yesterday’s match.

Scoring for Portland was: Spencer Pohl with a 49, Hayden Getchell finished with a 50, Ethan Getchell and Jared Thomas each had nine-hole rounds of 52.

On Thursday, Portland travels to the Royal Scot Golf Course in Lansing to play in the third CAAC White Division jamboree of the season hosted by Lansing Sexton.
