St. Patrick's Baseball Dominates Morrice

St. Patrick's boys baseball is off to a solid start to the 2019 season, opening with 9-1 and 15-0 victories against Webberville, 11-1 and 5-3 victories against Battle Creek St. Philip, and remained undefeated when the Morrice Orioles visited on Tuesday, March 9th.

In the first game, the Shamrocks beat the Orioles in 5 innings, winning 12-0. Nathan Lehnert got the win on the mound, pitching 3 innings with 8 strikeouts. Ryan Lay went 2-2 with 1 walk, a double and a triple. Brandon Scheurer went 2-3 with 1 walk, a double and a triple as well.

In the nightcap, the Shamrocks again put the Orioles away in 5 innings, with a 14-0 victory. Devin Fedewa was the winning pitcher, pitching 3 innings and striking out 6. Zach Spitzley went 3-3, and Brandon Scheurer went 2-2.

St. Patrick's next plays on Monday, March 15th at Ashley. Their first CMAC matchup is next Wednesday, March 17th away at Potterville.
