Shamrocks win District Championship against Lansing Christian

The Lady Shamrocks of Portland St. Patrick's took care of business Friday night, defeating the Lansing Christian Pilgrims 48-28.

Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Lexi Hass with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 assists, Mara Schrauben with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks, and Lydia Meredith with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 9 steals, 1 block and 1 assist.

The Shamrocks begin their Regional games on Monday, March 11th, at 5:00 pm against Hillsdale Academy (14-8). The winner of that game will face the winner of the Athens vs. Adrian Lenawee Christian game that will be played Monday night after the St. Patrick's game.

Adrian Lenawee knocked out the Lady Shamrocks last year in the Regional Finals en route to becoming the 2018 State Champion.
