Ken Ludwig's Baskerville Opens Friday, March 8
Ken Ludwig's Baskerville opens Friday, March 8, with additional performances March 9, 10, 15, and 16.
In this fast paced, comedy thriller, author Ken Ludwig transforms Arthur Conan Doyle's classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being killed one by one. To find their killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Their relentless investigators must navigate a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as three actors portray nearly 40 characters.
Mr. Sherlock Holmes is portrayed by Clay Ramsey with Antonius Watkins as Dr. John Watson. The remaining characters, nearly 40 in all are played by Krysta Koenigsknecht, Rory Miller and Jonathan Showerman.
Portland Civic Players is excited once again to be collaborating with local organizations for this production. $5 from each ticket sold will be split between the Portland Community Fund and Ionia County Relay for Life. In addition to enjoying a great show, you will be supporting three wonderful local organizations!
