Obituary for Sue Ann Hirschman

Sue Ann Hirschman, age 73, of Portland, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Sue was born on December 6, 1945 in Lansing, the daughter of Rex and Elizabeth Flinchbaugh. Sue was a member of First Congregational Church in Portland and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to cook. Sue was always doing for others and was known to be everybody's "grandma". She dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons-in-law, Zac Francis and Joe Cooper, and her favorite niece, Laurie Foster. Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Robert; children, Brad (Amy) Parkhouse, Cheryl (Terry) Bailey, and Jody Francis all of Portland, Kim (Steve) Pung of Portland, Dennis (Jane) Hirschman of New Zealand, Howard (Cheryl) Hirschman of Ionia, Tammy (Rich) Thorp of Portland, Christine Cooper of Ionia, and Curt (Missy) Hirschman of Lansing; 27 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Flinchbaugh. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor April Barrett at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019 at First Congregational Church, 421 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will be in Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E.
