Lady Shamrocks beat Potterville by 20
The Potterville Viking visited Portland for a CMAC matchup with the Shamrocks. Despite a rough 1st quarter, the Shamrocks were able to win handily, beating Potterville 54-34.
The Shamrocks came out cold, only scoring 6 points, but held the Vikings to 5 to win the quarter.
In the 2nd quarter, the Shamrock offense exploded, with 7 players putting up 27, while holding Potterville to 6. Taking a 33-11 lead to the half.
The 3rd quarter saw the Shamrocks extend their lead, winning the quarter 13-11 to take a 46-22 lead going into the final quarter.
In the 4th quarter, the Shamrocks coasted to a victory, losing the quarter 12-8.
Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Lydia Meredith with 12 points 5 rebounds 5 steals and 5 assists, Lexi Hass had 11 points 5 rebounds 2 steals and 2 assists, Kaitlyn Russell had 8 points 4 rebounds 2 steals, Samee Teachworth had 6 points 9 rebounds and 3 steals, and Mara Schrauben had 7 points 5 rebounds and 1 block.
Coach Al Schrauben was happy to get a victory. "We had a bad 1st quarter, the rest of the game we played well."
