The Raider wrestling squad traveled to Grand Ledge on Saturday to compete in the Grand Ledge Invitational. The Raiders faced a few larger programs and finished with a 3-2 record, strong enough to finish in second place for the tournament.

Portland faced five different teams in dual meet format. Below is the final score for each of Portland’s matches, along with the opponents MHSAA Division. For wrestling, Portland is MHSAA Division 3. Portland 34 Grand Ledge 33 (Division 1) Portland 34 Croswell-Lexington 36 (Division 2) Portland 16 Gaylord 50 (Division 2) Portland 35 Hudsonville 34 (Division 1) Portland 37 Lakewood 35 (Division 3)

The Raiders next contest is Wednesday, January 9th, when they host Charlotte in CAAC conference action. The match starts at 6:00 PM. This is one of only two home meets for the Raiders this season. Please come out on show your support for these young men.
