Raider Harriers Smash Records at East Lansing Cross Country Invitational
Carter Rosier exclaimed that, “It was a great day to run” after he crossed the finish line at the East Lansing Soccer Complex Cross-Country Course on Thursday. Rosier set a personal best record for the 5K finishing in 19 minutes and 20 seconds. Eleven other Raiders also set personal best rimes for the 5K at the meet. They were; Ari Babcock, Elania Volk, Teaghan Lathers, Mary Timmer Mya Collins, Olivia Morrow, Ben Wasmus, Iggy Arleth, Blaine Rosier, Andrew Seavey and Ben Stallard.
Women’s Cross-Country Coach Mark Holdren said that, “This is a great course. Its relatively flat and very well groomed.” The weather also was ideal at a breezy 60 degrees and sunny.
The Raiders will host their own Cross-Country Invitational on Monday, October 8th, at Portland High School. Sixteen High School and Middle School Cross-Country teams from as far as Ludington are scheduled to participate. The meet begins at 4:00 PM and admission is free.
