Roma Eileen (Click) Brown, age 84, born October 19, 1933 in Mt. Alto, WV, passed away on September 30, 2018 surrounded by her family in Grand Ledge.

Roma was a devoted member of the Portland United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, Portland Cooperative Nursery School board member, Girl Scout leader, and the Danby Township Deputy Clerk.

Roma worked many years as a legal secretary, real estate secretary, and licensed realtor.

She was an avid photographer, crafter, and loved baking with her granddaughters. Roma wintered in Lakeland, Florida where she organized Portland-Sunfield snowbird gatherings.

Roma was also very active in organizing class reunions for her PHS class of 1950 and many all-school reunions.

She preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Weldon Brown; mother, Dora (Sayre) Bailey; father, Cecil Click; brother, Kenneth Click.

Surviving Roma are her daughters, Melody (Dan) Schrauben and Melissa Shapow; son, David (Jeannine) Brown; siblings, Nellie (John) Canterbury, Barbara (Roger) Dimit, Linda Berry, Ted (Joann) Click, Kathy McBride, and Christine DeLane; sister-in-law, Virginia Click; granddaughters, Emily (Sam) Sicilia, Julie (Antonius) Watkins, Katelyn (Neil) Richards, Alyssa Brown, Melanie Brown, Victoria Shapow, Nicole Shapow, Gabrielle Shapow, and Olivia Shapow; great-grandchildren, Connor and Nolan Sicilia, Xander and Parker Watkins, Kendall and Brynn Richards, and Aria Brown; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Roma's last hurrah was to attend her 68th class reunion just three days before her passing. On that day, she looked and felt great, reminisced with classmates, drove by her family's past homes, visited Weldon's gravesite, and enjoyed a bowl of ice cream. It was a truly great day.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Portland United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday evening at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Danby Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Portland United Methodist Church in honor of Roma. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
