Jim Winslow Named "Safety Instructor of the Year"
Ryan Rademacher from the Michigan Conservation Officers was at the Grand River Conservation Club on Thursday night to present Jim Winslow with an award for "Safety Instructor of the Year." This is a statewide award and is quite an honor.
There are more than 2000 volunteer instructors in Michigan. The panel is made up of 60 to 70 individuals who make the selection based on their merits.
Grand River Conservation Club President Gordy Hoppes said, “40 years teaching and 3000 students later. Many of our active members had Jim as their instructor."
Jim will now be put into the drawing for the “National Safety Instructor of the Year."
