The Portland Beacon Celebrates One Year Serving the Community

Today marks one-year since The Portland Beacon posted its first story. Back on August 22nd, 2017, after a brief piece introducing The Beacon to local readers, we brought you a preview of the Raider football season, followed the next day with a preview of the Shamrocks football season.

Since then we have brought you more than 500 additional stories on a wide variety of local news and events. It has been a heck of a ride so far and we hope that The Beacon can continue to grow as a trusted news source for the Portland community.

We just wanted to thank all our readers for their support, and we look forward to serving you for years to come.
