Portland Boys Soccer Wins Battle at the Hive Soccer Tournament

The PHS boys soccer team opened the season with two wins and were champions of the Battle at the Hive soccer tournament this past Saturday. In the first game, the boys defeated Ithaca 2-1. Goals were scored by Tate Dziewiatkowski and Cameron Roof. Anthony Kreiner had 11 saves for the Raiders. In the finals, they faced Greenville. The game was close at halftime with the Raiders only leading 2-1. In the second half the boys were able to dominate offensively and pull to a 4-2 lead for the final score. Tate Dziewiatkowski scored three goals for the Raiders and the final goal was scored by Johann Boettger. Anthony Kreiner have nine saves.
