Obituary for Bruce B. Platte

Bruce B. Platte, age 56, of Portland, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. He was born July 1, 1962, the son of Jerry and Charlotte (McQueen) Platte. He enjoyed gambling, fishing, playing cards, and bowling. He loved watching football, especially the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers. Bruce was a devoted employee at Bradford White Corporation in Middleville.

Preceding Bruce in death are his father, Jerry and sister-in-law, Patricia Platte. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte; siblings, Jody (Stan) Martin, Kevin Platte, Karen (Ed) Cadieux, Craig Platte, Lori (Forest) Kelly, and Tim Platte; 11 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.

The Memorial Service will be officiated by Pastor Joe Robbe at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Mt. Hope Church, 845 Ionia Road, Portland. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Portland Cemetery. A luncheon at Mt. Hope Church will follow interment.
