Obituary for Richard V. Almy

Richard V. Almy, age 88, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born on July 29, 1929, the son of Vene and Mildred (Morse) Almy. Dick enjoyed making birdhouses and wind chimes and he retired from Portland Products after many years of service.

Surviving Dick are his children, Lynn (Douglas) Baker, Randy (Sherry) Almy, Richard Almy, Jr., and Deborah DePue; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Thomas (Jeanie) Almy, Ruth Bennett, and Barbara Parker. Dick is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Mary; son, Douglas; infant twin children, Donna and Donald; sister, Doris Bills; and brother-in-law, Leslie Parker, Jr.

The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Johnathon Bratt-Carle at the Lyons-Muir Church at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
