According to the site, Garbarino says, “I in live in Byron Center, MI and have served as a volunteer deputy with the Kent County Sheriff Office’s Traffic Squad unit since 2010. I have a passion for fitness and pursuing ways to help others with that passion. Join me in supporting this cause and honoring the brave men and women of law enforcement who actively serve and have made the ultimate sacrifice. My goal is to run 40 miles per day and finish in 4 days.”
Organizers say Garbarino will be leaving Eagle at 7am on Wednesday, June 6, and running through Portland between 7:30- 8am. His route is Grand River Ave across most of the state.
A local group is asking interested residents to gather on Grand River Ave from Divine to our Police Department to cheer him on. The image posted with this story is from a flyer posted at http://www.trafficsquad.com/mirun.
