Problems Viewing The Portland Beacon on Older Smart Phones

It was recently brought to my attention that some readers are receiving error messages when trying to view our articles on older smart phones.

I did some digging into this and found that the platform that The Portland Beacon website is built on is only compatible with Apple iOS 10 and above (iPhone 6 and above), or Android 7.0 and above. Unfortunately, it appears that there is nothing I can do at this time to resolve any error messages with smart phones that do not meet these requirements. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

While I will look into other options moving forward, please consider viewing the Beacon on a computer or tablet if you have the means. If you have not had a chance to do this yet, I think you may be very pleased with how the site looks on a larger screen.

If you are experience any other trouble with viewing The Portland Beacon content, or have any other comments or suggestions, I would love to hear from you. Please email me at Jim@theportlandbeacon.com.
