Search Continues for Sports Writer

The Portland Beacon continues it’s search for a contributing writer to cover local varsity sports teams. This includes both Portland High School and St. Pats.

There is a whole lot going on in town this spring and we need help covering it.

While the ideal candidate would have strong writing skills, we are willing to work with applicants who may need some assistance. Writing experience not required.

In other words, we would consider someone willing to be the eyes and ears, and they would not have to write the article itself.

If you like watching sports, are willing to take a couple of photos, and speak to the coach after the game to get a quote and some statistics, we would like to hear from you.

The selected candidate will be an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per piece basis.
