Olivet Nazarene’s Simpson #1 in Nation in Javelin

Portland High graduate Jalon Simpson, a current member of the Olivet Nazarene University track and field team, took first in the javelin at the Greenville Selects in Greenville, Illinois on Saturday.

Simpson’s throw of 64.42m (211’ 4”) is currently first in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic Association according to www.onutigers.com.

The Tigers of ONU finished second in the meet behind Washington University of Missouri.
