Sports Writer Wanted

The Portland Beacon is searching for a contributing writer to cover local varsity sports teams, including both Portland High School and St. Pats.

The selected candidate will be an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per piece basis.

Volume of work may vary significantly from month to month and will require prior approval from The Portland Beacon management. Initially this contributor will likely be writing one piece of content per week, with hopes of increased volume when supported by advertising revenue and/or reader contributions.

Strong writing skills and a commitment to covering stories accurately and fairly are required.
