Obituary for Catherine L. (Heston) Pline

AUGUST 13, 1928 - APRIL 1, 2018 (AGE 89)

Catherine L. Pline, age 89, of Lyons, went to be with her Risen Lord on April 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her family after a short illness. She was born in Eureka, Illinois on August 13, 1928 to Phillip Ray and Mayme L. Heston.

Catherine married John E. Pline on February 28, 1946. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; four children, Michael Pline, Kenneth Pline, Linda Buskirk, and Sandy Fyan; and two son-in-laws, David Ruehs and Gordon Fyan. Surviving Catherine are her children, Susan Ruehs, John Pline (Randee), Gary Pline, and Kathleen Kenyon (Bruce Kenyon); 13 grandchildren; and a lot of great-grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Ed Filter at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 8867 Kent St., Portland. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church – Roof Fund or Sparrow Hospice – Lansing in honor of Catherine. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
