Shamrock Girls Fall to Adrian Lenawee Christian in Regionals

The St. Patrick Shamrock girls basketball team faced Adrian Lenawee Christian on Tuesday night. The Shamrocks gave the Cougars a run for their money, but came up short, losing 62-53.

Senior Katie Coyne led the Shamrocks with 17 points. Senior Lainey Schrauben added 12 points while senior Chloe Cross had seven assists.

After the game, coach Al Schrauben said that he, “Thought we played well. They just hit some big shots. We were tied 31-31 at half. We were within five late in the game but they hit some free throws.” Schrauben went on to say that he was, “Happy with how hard the girls played.”

The Shamrocks finished 16 -7 on the year, with district title.

Adrian Lenawee Christian moves to 22-1 on the year, and will face Plymouth Christian (9-15) on Thursday night.
