NWTF Chapter Plans Hunting Heritage Event
(Ionia, MI) – Mark Saturday, March 10, 2018 on your calendar and get your tickets now for the next local Hunting Heritage Banquet.
The Grand River Longbeard’s Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will host their annual banquet at 115 S. Steele Street, Ionia, Michigan, 48846 to raise money for projects that conserve wildlife and preserve Michigan’s hunting heritage.
“This is the chapter’s 18th year hosting our banquet, and every year our chapter has a great time” said Josh Sandborn. “It’s the best opportunity in town to meet other people who care about conservation while enjoying good food, good music and good fun.”
Our chapter is very active and we focus on giving back to the people of Ionia County in the following ways.
1. In the last 7 years alone, we have awarded over $6,500 in scholarships to an Ionia County graduating senior that would be attending college.
2. We have held a bass fishing tournament for a number of years and given the PROCEEDS to an Ionia County Non-Profit Organization. Relay for Life, RAVE
3. We have held a number of Jake’s Day (under the age of 17) events for hundreds of Ionia County youth. We provided guidance, bait and sometimes fishing poles when needed. We fed everyone and every child walked away with a gift and contest winners were awarded bikes. All of this FREE of charge!
4. We have participated in the Turkey Hunter Care program and have donated turkeys to local food banks.
If this is your first time attending our banquet, you will get $40 in raffle tickets.
If you buy your tickets online, you will receive an additional $50 in raffle tickets for each membership bought.
Dinner starts at 6:30 PM, but arrive at 5:00 PM to enjoy a social hour before the banquet begins.
Families can play games and enter raffles to win up to 13 guns including a Winchester SX4 12 GA and a Stoeger P-300-0 12 GA Camo. There also will be silent and live auctions for exclusive framed art, guns, collectibles, sculptures, home furnishings and more.
Pre-buy your $100 raffle package or $150 Big Spender Package by March 5th, 2018 to receive the extra ticket incentives. This is only if you pre-buy the raffle package by the March 5th deadline!! Any $100 raffle ticket package(s) purchased after the March 5th deadline or the night of the banquet will NOT include the extra raffle tickets.
