The Shamrocks responded from Tuesday's defeat by Webberville in a manner that made their coach so proud. They took on the top team in the tough CMAC with grit and determination last night and showed great character.

The Shamrocks took a five-point lead into halftime and it was a one-point game with 5:44 minutes left in the game, but couldn't quite pull out the victory.

The Shamrocks were led by Brandon Scheurer with 17 points, five steals, three assists and three rebounds. Nate Leahy had 15 points and six rebounds. Will Simon had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Coach Mark Scheurer said that the rest of the Shamrocks, “turned in excellent performances that don't stand out with stats, but heart and desire spoke volumes.”

Scoring by quarter:

Saint Patrick 15 18 5 9 47

Dansville 19 10 13 20 64

The Shamrocks travel to PW to take on the Pirates Monday.
