Obituary for Bonnie Elaine Ayers

Bonnie Elaine Ayers, age 68 of Hastings went to be with the Lord on Oct. 21, 2017. Bonnie was born to Harold and Rubie Elberta Hopkins on June 23, 1949. Bonnie had suffered a long battle with end stage COPD. In the last week of her life she was cared for by her sons and the wonderful people at Sparrow Hospice. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and sister Iris Hodge. Bonnie is survived by her sons, Harold Vaudrey (Karen Newton) of Sunfield, Leonard Vaudrey of Battle Creek, Brother in law David Hodge of Paw Paw, 3 Nephews, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bonnie loved her family and her Kitty she called Mama Kitty, that was a stray, and she took her in. Bonnie was Mom to every one of her son’s friends and will be missed by many, but we take comfort in Knowing that she can breathe easy and suffers no Longer. There will be no services at this time.
