SALARIED OPENING: Human Resources Generalist/Adm.


Portland Reporting to: Human Resources Manager

JOB POSTING POSTION SUMMARY:

Primary responsibilities are: Time and Attendance administration, Payroll processing, HR information system, Benefits Administration support as well as recruiting and onboarding experience.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential functions) 

  • Time and attendance administration, knowledge of implementing T&A systems a plus. 

  • Payroll processing. Knowledge of ADP preferred 

  • Positive employee relations experience required. 

  • HRIS system proficiency with experience using SuccessFactors a plus 

  • Benefit administration/support. 

  • Participate in staffing and employment related activities. 

  • Employee Engagement 

  • Assist in the development and administration of policies, practices, and procedures 

  • Comply with all Company policies 

  • Confidentiality of personal information.


Additional Responsibilities and Abilities: 

  • Administrator responsibilities (such as filing, track & review data, employee support/inquiries, etc.) 

  • Able to multi-task proficiently with attention to detail. 

  • Assist with ongoing employee engagement activities and annual employee event. 

  • Willingness to rotate/support assignments with other HR team members, as necessary. 

  • Ability to work/overlap hours to support other shifts. 

  • Participate on various community programs 

  • Other HR responsibilities/projects as assigned.


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area preferred. Related experience in lieu of BA degree acceptable. 

  • PHR-SPHR/SHRM-SCP Certification preferred. 

  • Three to five years Human Resources related experience. 

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law/acts including FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, ADA, ACA, Family First Act, payroll tax, and others. 

  • Experience and knowledge HRIS, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Access. 

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, problem solving, and public speaking abilities
