Svanda Swim Lessons now enrolling for summer sessions

This summer I am excited to offer swim lessons at my house, right off of Kent Street. I am a Junior at the University of Michigan, majoring in History. I am a member of the Michigan Swim Club and also a Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor. Part of this certification included 15 hours of online, as well as 24 hours of in-the-pool, swim instructor training.

I will be offering 4 different sessions throughout the summer. Each session includes 8 classes over the span of two weeks. Classes will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week, with a weather make-up day on Friday. Each class will be forty-five minutes in duration. Children 6 months - 2 years can take classes if a parent joins them in the pool. Children 3 years and older can take classes as well, but no parent is required to join them in the pool.

The mission of Svanda Swim Lessons is to make students feel comfortable in, on, and around water. For beginning students we will emphasize water acclimation as well as introduce basic stroke mechanics. More experienced swimmers will be able to learn new strokes and improve the ones they have already developed. All students will be taught different water safety topics, as well as survival swim techniques. For more information and to register please scan the QR code above.
